The Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) completed its first review of the economic program supported by the IMF under the “Facility Extended Fund” according to what the IMF has published on its website yesterday.
This review will enable Tunisia to spend $ 314.4 million (787 million dinars), bringing Tunisia’s total funding to date to $ 628.8 million.
Noting that the total value of this loan is about 2.9 billion dollars (about 2.7 billion dinars).
In this context, Lagarde, “IMF’s Director”, said in a press release that the Board’s decision came after a serious observation in the direction of the Tunisian state towards implementing reforms, adding that the impact of this decision will be positive on Tunisia in its relation to the rest of the global financial institutions, pointing out that the partnership of Germany to Tunisia among the five African countries in the G20 Forum will contribute to the provision of jobs for young Tunisians.
